If an American would move to another country they would likely be treated the same as any other immigrant in terms of the assistance and programs available to new immigrants. Although it does depend on the country. It would probably be easier for an American to get immigrant services in Canada than some other foreign countries.

You would be treated as a human being who made a huge mistake. Why leave the US when we will pay you to sit on your butt all day popping out babies?!
It's no wonder we are being overrun with immigrants. If I weren't already living here, I'd be on the next boat, too. I think it just comes down to who follows the law and who doesn't. Government has made it entirely too easy to come here illegally, and to get paid for it. We have ridiculous laws that protect everyone but the innocent. It's a frustrating cycle that doesn't seem to have an end.

It depends on the country. If you're going to a third world country expect to live like a third world citizen, if it's an industrialized country there are more social programs. Many countries have better social programs than the US...Sweden and Canada!!

No- we wouldn't get the assistance other get in the US.

Most would be treated well depending on the country
Most would move because they have skills the other country wants
Most would be professionals not low skill laborers
Most would do so legally
Most would learn the local language

I don't know. Why don't you move to another country and diary your experience. When you have gathered enough first hand knowledge submit a report of your findings.

The other countries that give those sorts of benefits are also being taken advantage of, and are clamping down on their own immigration laws.

So don't count on it.
