People believe they can hurry along God's plans beleiving in something called the rapture, this isn't in the Bible either.
Does it not say worship in spirit and in truth. So why do they lie to one another?

That is true that the word revival isn't in the Bible. Neither is the word Trinity or Rapture. However, the teachings about them are there. It is a custom in some areas to pray for a revival. That does not mean to hurry God along neither does teaching about the Rapture or should I say the Resurrection of the Saints and the dead too.

The word Resurrection is in the Bible and relates to the raising of both believers who are alive as well as those who are dead. Yes we are to worship in spirit and truth. Please study your Bible so you will understand these great doctrines.

This is the American bible belt cult that believe the world is coming to and end any time (Where have I heard that nonsense before) As I understand it the rapture is when the believers will be taken up to heaven bodily leaving the rest on earth to feel the wrath of god. I understand there are books in the states advising people how to survive when that happens. ( some idiots will buy anything) It is all very laughable but it is also serious as these idiots have members of the American legislature among them and access to the president. However I am sure it is not everyone in the christian society but a significant minority

This should be some sect or cult I'm not aware of. And I don't mean this Christian society, but the people who believe in these things you have mentioned. You can hardly call them Christians. (Do they at least believe in Jesus Christ?)
People in my church believe God is deliberately delaying the end of the world in order for more people to find true faith, repent and be saved, and they pray for this (the saving of all people), so they certainly don't pray for hurrying God.
In case you're wondering, I'm in the Romanian Orthodox Church and here in US I go to a parish of the Orthodox Church of America.

I pray for the inevitable President (whoever it's going to be McCain or Obama) which will do the finest of the perfect for our protection stress adult adult males and females. Pray that God's shelter is upon our troops. Then I pray and pray and pray for peace with our united states of america with the total international and maximum important peace between ourselves. very last yet no longer least, I pray for no tax hikes and larger funds coming again to me at tax returns. Its no longer incorrect to wish for our own advantages; we are all toddlers of God. i will continually contain myself in my personal prayers.

Are you feeling spiritually conned yeah. Revive.
your spirituality has nothing to do with the church seeming they have all the time in the world cos they get stuff for free to read it.
now you are a follower of christ how about learning how to give love the way he did and you again have surpassed theism "Theyism" funnily enough. they are just out to make money and the search for knowledge and truth are just, yours and not theirs. commit yourself and be grateful for your recieving.
