Whether it's raw or cooked, 7 hours at room temperature is waaaaay too long in the Food Danger Zone.

This is the temp between 41deg and 140deg where bacteria grows best. After even an hour, bacteria can multiply to levels where you can get sick.

So don't keep it man. I don't care how good bacon tastes, it is no bueno...

It would have been fine. Do you think the Conestoga wagons had refrigerators to keep the bacon from spoiling on the way west? Today's packaged sliced bacon doesn't keep as well as a chunk from the smokehouse, but you should have used it unless it was covered with bugs or the dog chewed it.

I'd toss it. My ex's mom said something bout her son's bacon lol....She said that she hoped that it was still good or that he put it in the fridge. He had to get someone to drive him home or something so that he could put it in the fridge. Better safe than sorry !

Any meat sitting at room temperature for 7 hours or more should be disposed of! There is not telling what kind of bacteria have made it'self at home on your bacon...even if it's still in it's packaging!

WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT!

Eat it one of the twelve commandments is to listen to your parents. But if you die, then sucks to be you!... You are not going to die right away.. you are going to get really sick, get diarrhea for may be three days, and those three days you'll spend it in the hospital, and a nice old lady is going to change your diapers, and explore everything about you. and I mean everything. Some times is a nice old man if you are lucky... If you are a woman he is not only change your diapers, just good luck with the week of the month!!!!.. Any ways, please don't eat it.... just tell your mommy that is better not to eat it.

2 things

if it smells bad toss it

it may have grown some bacteria, but unless you planned to eat it half raw, you would likely killed off any bacteria in the cooking process (as long as the inside reached 170 degrees)

Unless it was really hot, it should be fine after cooking it CRISP.
Soggy bacon, even if fresh, can cause all kinds of problems.
If it stinks while cooking, out it goes.

if the room was standard room tempature or cooler, and the bacon didn't smell or feel slimy, i'd keep it. you're going to cook it first, anyway, should kill off anything. but if it smelled at all odd, or looked abnormal, i'd pitch it.
