Why should they get amnesty when they came here illegally? My great grandmother did not get that privilege when she came here in 1912 from Europe. They get rewarded for their illegal actions and the people who came here legally get nothing? When she came, there was no welfare system to support her. She worked her tail off! (Considered it a privilege to do so.)When she came, she did not wave a Hungarian flag and demand everyone speak Hungarian. She learned English BEFORE she arrived in America. When she came here she passed through Ellis Island where they first saw the Statue Of Liberty through tear filled eyes with other immigrants, who were chanting in English, God bless America! A far cry from the illegal who comes today and waves a Mexican flag and demands rights he is not entitled to. He becomes a financial burden to our system. Free medical care, teachers who have to speak Spanish, no taxes, food stamps and housing. Send them home. Only people who get here legally should be allowed to stay. Our national security is also at risk. We don't know who is coming over our borders ready to do us harm.

That was done once before and I do not think it should be done again. There is a legal way to get into the US but we have quotas and the 11,000,000 people who are illegally would have to fit into that system.

We have laws for a reason, to continually give amnesty to law breakers sets a precedent that at some point will come back in a harmful way to the country.

they're going to stick to the process least resistance. good now unlawful immigration rules are actually not enforced absolutely everyone can walk around the border at any time. there is effectively no resistance. The criminal immigration course is backlogged for 10 years and crammed with infuriating paperwork and purple tape. it rather is form of impossible. If we would desire to channel human beings in the process the criminal paths, we would desire to shrink the resistance on the criminal course and advance the resistance on the unlawful course. Make it not common to circulate the border advance the prospect, advance the punishment. on an identical time, streamline the criminal gadget, decrease down the wait time and make criminal immigration common and appealing. not something you do can thoroughly get rid of unlawful immigration. yet making it sufficiently unappealing will shop all however the worst and maximum desperate from attempting it.

NO! Why should they be here illegally? It is dangerous and a HUGE drain on those of us that pay taxes - why should they have more rights than we do? There is NO honor in a person coming and staying here without becoming legal. Shame on those that think they should be able to. Absolutely NOT!

No. Amnesty would show that they tacitly approve of illegal immigration and would do nothing to deter further illegal immigrants from entering the country.

No. The fact that you are an illegal immigrant shows you have no respect for the laws of the US. Why would you legalize someone who you know is a law breaker?

ABSOLUTELY. And at the same time remove all speed limits, taxes, in fact let's just do away with those pesky laws altogether. Who needs'em? They're inconvenient, and make us do cruel things like pay our bills, take care of our children, and send trespassers back where they came from!

NO! They are illegal. Obviously they don't have a clean record then. Send them back! We have more than enough people already.
