I personally believe you are helping the pumpkins fufil their spooky destiny. Is like a piece of wool lying on the ground just waiting to be knitted into a jumper.
Also, no other vegetable gets such special attention at any time of year, if you left him be all his friends would think that he'd been lying about being 'the hallowe'en vegetable of choice' and mock him.
Could you do that to an innocent vegetable??

If that were so, all nature must be screaming in anguish! If you really believed that and i doubt you do and are putting us on)-you would not put another bite of food in your mouth! and you would soon turn to dust since we can't go without food. God created food for man and animal-

To reduce some of your guilt, use it more than just for decoration- bake the pumpkin seeds and enjoy!
