The Billy graham and other crusade leaders always, at the end of their revival meetings, play the song "Just As I Am"-(without one plea........" and that is how God accepts us.
We come into this world with the sin nature due to the fall in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve blew it thru disobedience-we can't shape up enough, do good enough,go to church enought, give to the poor enough, etc. to cover our sinfulness-so come to Him confessing youa re a sinner and repent (He knows if we are truely sorry or not)-I went thru the motions early in life not wanting to go to hell but neither wanting Jesus running my life-at age 40 the Holy Spirit brought me to conviction of my sinfulness (and believe me I was)-and the peace, the joy,the cleansing forgiveness and His incredible love -all gave affirmation that He had just accepted me into His eternal kingdom! What other so called god ever did that-let alone died for all mankind!

There is now "heirship" to eternal life. Titus 3: 7.
Righteous living becomes possible. Philippians 1: 11. 1John 3: 7.
The JUISTIFIED person is assured that he or she will be SAVED from the coming wrath of GOD. Romans 5: 9. 1Thesalonians 1: 10.
The person is assured of GLORIFICATION (Going to Heaven). Matthew 13: 43. Romans 8: 30.
Galatians 5: 5.
The moment a person believes in Jesus The Christ that person is SANCTIFIED.
Notice in The Bible that the believers are called SAINTS? ALL believers are saints. That is because they have been sanctified. It does NOT mean perfect! 1 Corinthians 1: 2. Ephesians 1: 1. Colossians 1: 2. Hebrews 10: 10. Jude 3.
In 1Corinthians we have proof that one can still be "fleshy" and be SAVED or Sanctified.
Christ Sanctified the SAVED by the shedding of HIS own blood. Hebrews 13: 12.
The new believer is now COMPLETE in HIM. Colossians 2: 10.
Heirs to the Holiness NOT THROUGH ANY EFFORTS OF THEIR OWN.

This depends completely upon the religious framework of your belief. All major religions teach forgiveness, acceptance and love as their primary principles, but only a few people within each group have the courage to follow their belief.
I've always taken the view that God unconditionally accepts those who accept other people unconditionally.

If you can accept god than he can accept you.
NO MATTER WHAT!
no matter your race, your gender
AND YES EVEN YOUR RELIGION
It says no where in the bible that you have to be "catholic" to go to heaven. It just says, accept god, worship ONLY god ( not the pope) and teach about god. Do unto your neighbor as you would have them do unto you.
God will accept you

Why wouldn't he?
God is about acceptance and forgiveness.
He's about love and understanding.
Everyone is acceptable in the eyes of God

I once told a freind of mine during a discussion that I didn't believe in God and she replied "but He believes in you." God loves and accepts all his rainbow children anyway (I read that on a banner at a festival once).

Every acceptance needs a proposal. You should make a proposal to god which he can't refuse.

Any God worth worshipping accepts everone with equal love and care. This is why racism, homophobia and sexism are so wrong.
