I can second the recommendation for sukothai - if you like thai that is. Very good food and nice, friendly service.
Shame you don't like Indian as the new restaurant La Zisa is very good - it's not your typical curry house, so if you can stand some amount of spice you may find something you like there. Last time I went they weren't licensed though - so if you do go, it's worth grabbing some booze from freshers before hand.
Zizzi is ok - your usual chain restaurant fair. The Hornchurch Cuisine tries to offer "bistro" type fare, but i'm not sure how well they succeed. But could definitely be worth a go.

Try Zizzi's in Station Lane or if you can cope with Upminster try MAS next to the station or Othello's Station Road

the way you say price no object (just chuck money at it) and ask on a chatroom, instead of finding info on such a small area, should be an indicator, to the person your trying to impress.
