I don't believe in God because I am yet to see any proof that he exists. I am yet to see any proof that he has done anything for us at all. I am yet to see any proof that Jesus was the son of God, or that he died on a cross, that he was beaten, spat upon etc. etc.
The only 'proof' I have been offered is a very old book which has been translated from language to language, distorting its meaning in the process, and which contradicts itself in a lot of ways, with no further evidence to substantiate its claims.
I am yet to see any proof that Christianity is any more correct than Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Ancient Greek Gods, Ancient Roman Gods, Ancient Egyptians, Norse Mythology etc. some of which have lasted for much longer than Christianity, which has only existed for about 2000 years.
I don't believe that science has all of the answers at all, and I believe there are some things that science has got wrong and will never be able to explain. But in terms of the big bang, evolution etc. science has so far offered me more plausable explanations and feasible evidence than blind faith in an all-powerful deity has.
Finally, science did not prove the Titanic could not sink. People claimed that it couldn't sink based on incorrect beliefs and insufficient thought of the various scenarios. The Titanic is not a valid example for denouncing science. It is, however, an excellent example for proving that people are fallible and make mistakes.
Faith is a wonderful thing, but blind faith is beneath us...

Anything can be wrong, but science discards ideas that it disproves, while religion refuses to discard naive myths that have long been outmoded. When I was age 6 or 7, I couldn't believe all of the stuff I heard at church. As I grew older and learned more, I discovered ever more reasons not to believe the family religion. There is no scientific evidence that any gods exist. I studied Yahweh-God, Brahma, Yu Ti, Marduk, Ahuramazda, Zeus, Amon, Odin, etc., and I see that none of these gods really exist. Someone says Yahweh the God of Moses has done much and Jesus died for our sins, but why should I believe that? The Bible has many contradictions and errors that science disproves, so I don't believe any of it. No one needed to die for me on a cross, because I don't go along with preachers' ideas of sin. I have my own standard of behavior, and I don't need a book of naive myths and con men preachers to tell me how to behave. When I was age 12, I was wiser than you are.

I don't understand why nobody believes in the Unicorn King, creator and sustainer of the universe. Look at everything he's done for us!
See, the meaning is the same no matter what you put in there. You have no more reason to believe that God did it than I do to believe it was the Unicorn King. We know it's here, the rest is just speculation. Science is trying to figure out how things came to be from one perspective, religion is making another argument from a different perspective (although it is more accurate to say that it's from many different perspectives). Your argument is internally coherent, but not necessarily more true, than either that of science, or the Unicorn King, or any other religion.

I felt just like you do, when I was your age. It's a wonderful feeling given to you as a gift from God. I'm much older now, and I still get happy and excited when I think of all the things that God has done for us, and what you say about God,... how true it is. You are very special to feel the way you do, at such a young age. You are on the right path; and don't let anyone make you change about this. God knows our hearts, and I'm sure He sees that you have a good one. Keep having faith; it will always be there for you, when you need it..
I'm sure your parents are doing a great job with you, and they're probably proud of you, too.

If you can prove that Jesus was the son of God, go for it. Unfortunately, there has been no more evidence of the existence of any God than of aliens or the Grinch.
And no-one relies on science to prove there is no God: there would be no point
It is up to those who claim that a big, bearded fellow in the sky "poofed" this all into existence to come up with evidence.
And can you give any evidence that even if there was a God, it would be your God. How do you know the Muslims aren't right? Or the Jews? Or the Aztecs? Or the Chinese?

There ARE some things that I do believe. However, I DO NOT
believe that Moses got two pair of ALL of the animals of the Earth on a boat. And I don't think that Adam was around to name the dinosaurs like the 'Good Book" says. And, I don't really think that God is a white male. And yes, if you look at my picture, I think I'm a white male. Yes, Yes, I am. Oh thank God.

I do believe in God, but only as our Creator. I do not believe all the Bible stories of magic and miracles, him speaking to people, then it being contradicted by saying that no one has seen him, I don't believe that a fair and loving God would have approved of all the Biblical attrocies or would have chosen one people...for no good reason, because they were not righteous...to be his chosen people. I do not believe that a true and loving God would constantly bait his people and watch them fail to be perfect, when he did not make them perfect in the first place. I will not worship a God that is jealous, vengeful, judgmental or unfair.
I wish you the greatest happiness in believing in your God, but in your life, do one thing. Think for yourself.
Peace.

You can't force people to believe in God, it's sad but true some people do not care and do not believe because they are not religious. As long as you believe, worry about yourself and not others...
There is nothing that you can say to someone that has disbeliefs.. The question they would asks you is how do you know for sure... I have met people and when I mention God they say how could you believe in something that man made up.. I do not even know what to say to that.. I totally ignore them and keep believing in what I feel God is...

Hey, god made the non-believers too, ya know? Everything is done for a reason. Just don't think that anyone is better than or less than because they don't worship the same. He knows what He's doing, right?

umm...titanic and god are kind of...not....really...even close :| but i get the jist of what your saying....
well, i dont believe simply cuz it was never forced upon me and i hate it when i get lectured so none of those preaches or door to door jesus sales people got to me. i have no proof that he existed, for all we know its just a figment of our imagination, a savior only thought up long ago in those "evil" times to give some hope and life to families and villages or whatever. today...religion tears apart families, individuals, countries, states...its ridiculous how retarded people get over their religion and how it causes such choas between everyone.
