Isn't it funny how one can think he has learned more in his little
50 years of life, than thousands of years of accumulated human
knowledge?

That is not the original sin..Original sin may be taken to mean: (1) the sin that Adam committed; (2) a consequence of this first sin, the hereditary stain with which we are born on account of our origin or descent from Adam.

Human knowledge reaches thousands upon thousands of years, ever since we learned how to write. Any current knowledge is built upon that. So really a lot of humans have thousands of years of knowledge under their belt, they just learned it in a short period of time. Of course those who believe in the bible hold an opinion that whatever knowledge they need is in their holy book. That's fine and dandy, however, everyone is entitle to their own opinion about what real knowledge is. You can judge all you want, but that doesn't mean you are right. I know this won't change your mind a bit, but at least I have the satisfaction of you reading this.

May I also add that NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE knows what is "truth". It is based upon opinion, not absolute truths. You may think you know it, but you don't. I don't pretend to, for all I know, you could be right, but the possibility of you being wrong also exists. Just recognize this and maybe you can humble yourself a little bit and judge less.

not only is it the original sin but you can trace every single sin back to pride. When I did counseling that is what I helped people do and when the person did the work,(answering my questions) and followed the path of why's and how's etc. then they could free themselves of the problem and rethink their lives. Pride leads the way to every fall.

Original sin is no different today than the day it was done for the first time.

Original sin was then and is now disobedience to Gods law, only one law at the time and they disobeyed him and broke it.

All sin is founded in pride. Sin means "My will is more important than God's will". If that isn't pride I don't know what is.

Actually the original sin (that Adam and Eve commited) was simply disobedience.

Yes, it seems like a small sin to me. I'm proud of you for pointing that out to me.
