People are rude because they are either offended by the question or something it insinuates, because they feal very stongly on a certain topic, or because they simply don't realize they are being rude.
Try to put your self in the other person's position even if you find their opinion completely insane. It will at least help you see where they are coming from and whether or not they actually intend to be rude. Chances are they do not.

Cuz they know that the peeps online will never ever find out who they are, where they live, etc. They like to feel like they're powerful, all mighty, etc. Also, maybe they're just bullies IRL who like to be rude to anyone. Online it is so easy to be mean, esp when asking these Qs cuz it's diff't than chatting. If someone was chatting, then the person being abused, teased, ridiculed, etc, could make a comeback. On here, if someone says something back to them, they don't have to go back to the Q & never ever see the response or if they got the person mad...
If someone is harassing you continuously or even threatening you, you can prob call the police & let them know. When I was going to skewl, they didn't tolerate stuff like that. BUT, since the person who threatened me (I told the teacher that someone left a threatening msg to me on Yahoo but didn't even mean for anything to come out of it) didn't go to that skewl, well, there was nothing that they were gonna do bout it. A cop even came down to the skewl !!!

Most people take a stance, to believe or not. Then just just leave it at that. When you are on Yahoo answers, other categories, people answer the questions and it is quiet. On this R & S category, you get a lot of feed back and the idiots get questions answered. People might ignore them on other categories. The idiots come here to get a rise out of people, and they get it. They can say basically anything they want and people answer their questions, why would they leave. If we ignored them, they would go away.

Because they were not raised properly. Or they were raised properly and were born rotten to the core. Remember that we live in a terrible world full of sin. Everyone sins. Some make an effort not to sin. They try to be respectful and help others. Then there are the predators. The folks that prey on others. They are evil. Seriously. Human nature is inherently bad. And some of those bad folks are on the internet. Watch out for those folks in life.

1 Corinthians 13:5 Love is not rude or self seeking.
Perhaps they don't like themselves or are looking for a person to vent their feelings to.
This world can be a very hostile place and rude people may not be having a rough week they just may be having a rough life.
Pray that God would touch them so they can be happy and at peace.

It depends on what you consider rude,I know from experiance that the truth sometimes hurts and on the other side that people are just plain rude.
Me I find sex drugs profanity rude and should not be allowed online ,It should be kept away from children so It depends on what you consider rude

Because people think that they are right and nothing you tell them will change their minds. Some of us that can admit we are wrong are not so bad. Have a great day, and I hope no one else is rude to you, though I am sure they will be.

I think the reason people are rude is because they are shallow and can hide behind the internet and the reason they wouldn't act rude to you in person is because they are out in the open and can see your reaction.

I asked a similar question when I first got on answers. The Internet gives you cross section of humanity. We take the good with the bad. I have gotten some really good answers so just wade through the bad.

People are basically pigs and they think that this is the perfect place for it. And lots of people were raised to be rude. We live in a world of rude people these days, unfortunately
