It would be better to ask what I did agree with which would be nothing. If I want to confess, I talk to God not a priest. If I want to be forgiven I ask it from God, not a priest. If people want to come to my church and participate they do not have to belong to be accepted into worship. I have the right to use contraception and not be considered a sinner. The catholic church is just a religion designed to control people and is totally outdated. There is no use for it anymore. Thank God I was never catholic!

nothing - if i did i wouldn't be Catholic ; )

the one thing i do disagree with in regards to the denomination as a whole is that they don't stand up to those who tell blatant lies and half truths. thankfully Pope John Paul II opened the door with other denominations to discuss and debate, hwoever still the masses of people that are clueless to what Catholicism is really about are boundless and unwilling to even listen.

These are some of the issues that would discourage me from being Catholic. I would never argue with or debate a Catholic - that's their choice, but here are some things I don't personally care for:

1. men only as priests;
2. same-sex marriage;
3. pro-life;
4. abstinence and rythym as only form of birth control;
5. confession;
6. praying to saints;

First and foremost, nuns and priests. Second, birth control, seems real smart to have 9 children when you can't afford 1.(my best friend growing up was from a catholic family and they never had anything because of all the kids, to include new clothes, school supplies, etc...)

Christians do not have "rules" to follow to start with, i do not agree with anything the catholic church does unless its from the bible, they add so much and make up their own treaties and so forth, cant follow MAN but GOD only...

Just about everything the Vatican ever invented!

That the pope is infallible in matters of religion.
That salvation is achieved through the eucharist.
That Mary must be worshipped as God's mother.
That praying for the dead can help get them to heaven.
That I must confess "through a priest".

I am "in anathema", convicted to hell by the Roman Catholic
Church eight times over ! I have found, over the years
that there are MANY ROMAN CATHOLIC Clergy who agree with
Me on at least one of these eight points...... That leaves them
OFFICIALLY EXCOMMUNICATED from their church --- yet they
continue to say their daily mass, hear confessions, and give
out communion. Of course, the flock at the church either
do not know the priest's mind ---- or knowing his mind --- are
totally unaware that his mass, absolution, and communions
are, according to their church not only totally valueless, but
condemned !

I guess the fact that they take the word of the pope as the word of god. I also don't like the convenience of the having your sins forgiven for simply confessing to a priest. I don't think the catholic church is the best example of Christianity.
