What was it? John 5:

2Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda[a] and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.

3Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.

[4 From time to time an angel of the Lord would come down and stir up the waters. The first one into the pool after each such disturbance would be cured of whatever disease he had.

Archeaological Evidence of Bethseda:

Recent archaeological research confirms both the existence of the pool of bethseda and it had 5 porticoes. John 5:2. what does this mean? it lends credibility that John was written by John who as an eyewitness knew Jerusalem before it was destroyed 70 AD.

What do you think about that?
