Your metabolism, that is, the rate at which your body burns calories, is set by your body and cannot be changed by taking medications, eating certain foods, etc. Further, everyone pretty much burns at the same rate.

Tea usually has a small amount of caffeine in it which in turn can make your body more energetic. Tea pretty much has very little to no nutritional value. Its pretty much flavor for water. Your metabolism can speed up if the energy you get from the caffeine is used to burn calories you have consumed. The best way to speed up your metabolism is to exercise (burn calories). However after burning those calories you will want to replenish your body with fully nutritional food and drink. Drop weight by consuming 6 small meals a day. Sounds ridiculous I know, but it works. Its all about timing. Eat small amounts of food every two hours to stay full. Lots of water, nuts(almonds, pecans, walnuts, peanuts), fresh fruit and veg, whole grain breads, lean meats.

But most IMPORTANT of all

EXERCISE (walk, run, aerobics, swim, play a sport, do something)

Lipton green tea is more of a weightloss than regular and u shouldnt have the caffiene. The speed is the Caffiene in the tea.. I know that green tea helps u lose weight coz I drink it alot. Takes out the toxins in your body and its better for you. Green tea dont taste bad either, it is different than regular but its still good and u can make it just like regular. take care

If it did, they'd be marketing it that way because that would make Lipton a lot more money than selling it to quench thirst.
