.0034 hrs x (60 min / 1 hr) x (60 sec / 1 min) = 12.24 sec

Use dimensional analysis:
(.0034 hours) * (60 minutes/ 1 hour) * (60 seconds/ 1 minute) = 12.24 seconds
The units cancel to give you seconds.
Incidentally there are 3600 seconds per hour. Knowing this, you could write
.0034 * 3600 = 12.24 seconds

60 x 60 = 3600, so 3600 is the number of seconds in and hour. Mulitiply that by the number of hours
3600 x 0.0034=((12.24)) seconds in .0034 h
