I believe you mean Restoril (trade name) is also known by its generic name temazepam.
Temazepam is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. Temazepam affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause insomnia or anxiety.
Temazepam is used to induce sleep and cause relaxation.

It works , but you have to go to bed within thirty minutes of it or it only slows you down a bit. You could also look into Buspar and Halcion if your body ahas become used to it already. Check with your doctor.
