I was dating this guy for 2 months and he admitted after I finally figured it out that he is just a player and not serious...eventhough we hit it off and really understand eachother...we both said we liked being friends...yet he continues to text me everyday if not several times per day asking how im doing, where im at, still sometimes calling me baby, sometimes talking about sex, about life, etc....why does he keep hanging around? does he still like me or is he just bored?

be careful with players
I think that he might just be bored, I was dating a player and pretty much the same thing and I took him back twice and each time he was cheating on me and doing the whole player thing.
be strong and just be friends, he still might think that he can get with you at anytime he likes. so like I said be strong.
players never change!! they only change when they finally give up and get tired of the game, but if you feed the fire it'll keep burning! just be friends and dose the fire... you may get together again in the future.

Sounds like the friendship is in the process of growing, give it some time, could be he is feeling the same way. Sounds like he really relies on you for friendship, so be thankful that you have that, a true friend is hard to find, and a pat on the back for him on being honest with you.

dating is all part of a game that men and women play. players love the chase. the more you tell him to leave you alone or act like you are not interested...the more they will try to pursue you.
you can be friends IF you don't continue to have sex with each other. most "self" proclaimed players are usually only in it for the sex so if that's all you are willing to settle for...keep on playin, if not, cut him loose. you really don't need "friends" like that.

Aparently the friends thing doesn't work for him. Maybe you need to decide on having a relationship with him or not. Maybe he is more serious than he wants to admit.
