men or women...do you like to fight your own battles no matter how dangerous or do you like to fight them to a point and have the safe knowledge that your parner will step in if it gets tough or do you prefer the idea of someone just protecting you completely and just sitting out of it all?

I have this concept where I want to protect the woman I love.
there's something so very clasic and cliche about that that I cringe at the thought, and yet it is the case. I'd do anything to keep her safe, anything at all for her.
but you see, with her it isn't very nessicary. she's rather strong...
in many ways.
so yes, if nessicary, I will stand up for her, and I will stand by her. no matter the odds. no matter the reason. no matter how large or small, and whatever the battle may be, I'm willing to help her, and
I'll always be there for her. always.
as for me, she's always there for me. she listens and gives good advice, but she doesn't tend to fight my battles.

I will start fighting my battles but if the going gets tough I rely on my husband to protect me. I am speaking in the verbal arena. I am not party to any physical confrontations.
