Get a Cuisenart. They're the best. And they make a mini that goes for around $40-$50. Better yet, go to Salvation Army or any other charity thrift shop and look around. I've seen them there for $5.

Like other people say Walmart would be a good place to purchase a food processor. However, if you want to make salsa, I wouldn't recommend a food processor. The food is chopped up so much that there is no little chunk of tomatoes. I like my salsa to have some chunks of tomato in them. I would suggest just using a chopper or maybe just a knife. Good luck!

Target, WalMart, and maybe even K-mart (although check Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy too!) is where you can find a little Black and Decker chopper. It holds about a cup to a cup and a half. If you want a bigger one, the Hamilton Beach or Krups is less expensive that say the Cuisinart. For a GOOD one, try Bed Bath & Beyond... hope this helps. The larger ones will have a shredding blade AND the chopping blade which is nice for shredding blocks of cheeses, cabbage for slaw, etc.

When you find your food processor at one of the stores above, just be sure to watch your food like a hawk. You will end up with soup unless you just barely pulse it a few times until the consistency is right.

Cuisinart makes a small one for about $40. They carry them at many stores in the US. I use mine a couple of times each week.

look at Wal-Mart....they have several small inexpensive brands that work well for occasiional use....if you are going to use it quite often I would spend the extra money though.
