... if he will simply accept Jesus into his heart, and that unbeliever still rejects that message---

Is the unbeliever at fault for rejecting Jesus if the messengers bringing him the Good News are no good at their job? Surely then the teachers are at fault for failing to persuade what is apparently obvious? Some unbelievers, after all, weigh evidence very critically, but that's not their fault either, if they are simply well educated and questioning of assumptions. A good preacher should be able to persuade the most militant evolutionist atheist ever ... shouldn't he? Shouldn't a bad preacher be eternally damned for failing this simple task of bringing the unsaved to Christ?

Maybe the unsaved have a very good reason for not being 'saved'.

You are fogetting one thing....the Holy Spirit. If an unbeliever is meant to believe, after hearing the message, he will come along eventually. It is not a matter of convincing--God calls us through all kind of means - people, preachers, events in our lives.

A preacher, an evangleizing Christian or messenger is not responsible for the hardened heart of the unbeliever.

Being well-educated does not preclude belief in God.

Yes the unbeliver is at fault for not accepting jesus. God created men and women with free will to make there own decisions and No the preacher should not be eternally damned for not getting through to some people because he is still doing what god has chosen him to do and that is preach the word of the scripture. It just takes didfferent ways to get through to different people. Society tries to stray away from the word of god as much as possible because it is easier to fall into sin than to try an lead a life doing what god wants us to do

Some people have hardened hearts toward the message of salvation through Jesus.

The bottom line is this; God created the world,
Man sinned and needed a redeemer,
Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins and yours. He is the only way to eternal life in heaven with God.
I believe this and will do what I can to help you understand it, but ultimately it is your choice to believe in and follow Jesus. He doesn't force Himself into your life.

Romans 1:20-22 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God they did not honor Him as God or give thanks but they became futile in their speculations and their foolish heart was darkened.

well.. eternally damned? isn't that a little harsh..?

first of all, you need to give them credit for trying. Not everyone cares if other people go to heaven or hell. it's hard trying to change someone's life. seriously, just think about it. It does take a lot of skill and education, that's why there are the best preachers, and the not so good ones.

but of course.. if your teaching someone with no intention of changing their lives is probably bad. but who would wanna go be a preacher if you don't wanna do it?

dont be so mad.. just keep trying.
nothing comes easily, especially with a topic like religon.
don't force nothing, believing takes time.

God can use a donkey...If unbelievers hear the Gospel and they dont believe, God cannot accept them. And the Bible says That preachers will be judged for what they teach. But It is really important that Chriatians are prepared to answer any question that we are chalenged with. Ravi Zachariahs has got some real good arguments...you can listen to his stuff on his web site www.rzim.org

Just because you didn't "click" with the messengers doesn't mean that they weren't doing their job and that they should be damned. At least they are out there trying. Some are better than others. But God will not punish them for trying.

Maybe all they needed to do was plant the seed. Now it's your decision whether or not you water it.

It sounds like you know or think that you are already damned - and you're blaming those around you for it.

in case you're a Christian, then they're one contained in the comparable. you notice, Jehovah's Witnesses have faith Jesus develop into certainly a separate entity (as their ideals are based off Arianism) than God. maximum of Christian orthodoxy could reject this and could label some thing like JW as a cult because it deviates from church (maximum protestant and Catholic) teachings. Now, why can we have faith this? some motives. There are references in John the place Jesus refers to himself as "i'm" in John 8 - actually utilising the previous testomony call for God as himself. He accepts worship from the blind guy in John 9 the place angels does no longer settle for worship in different passages. there is plenty to be suggested right here yet proper to assert, Jesus did declare to be divine and did declare to have dominion over nature (ex. calming of the storms), demons (Jesus exorcising the demoniac), or perhaps the capacity to forgive sins (see Luke 5 - which in easy terms God on my own had the capacity to do). Secondly, there are discrepancies between the JW translation and what are the canonical gospels. The canon we are able to track back to unique materials (i think of the Sinaiticus is the oldest that i comprehend of). there have been hundred of translations and copies, to the ingredient the place you may stick to the artwork of a translator approximately why they chosen the words they used to translate the script. In JW copies, you will no longer locate the names of the translators interior their pages. it is from a prohibition of bringing up materials from the Watchtower. If i think of a canonical translation to be erroneous, i can locate the translator and spot the place he ought to be incorrect. it is the potential for verification the place because of the fact the JW Bible (the hot international Translation) would not have equivalent verification. additionally, there are some translations which make no grammatical experience contained in the unique Greek. John a million contained in the NWT, case in point, is one in each of those passages. So, in Christian orthodoxy, the guy of Jesus and God the daddy are the two factors of the comparable divinity (i.e. heads of the trinity). i've got faith, and a great form of different Christians have faith, the canonical gospels to be a extra precise and extra truthful representation of the certainty than texts who state that Jesus isn't God. it truly is the comparable savior. So, asking this question to maximum Christians could a faux selection.

It's up to God to do the saving, not us. People get that confused so easily. Telling others the Good News isn't supposed to be a chore, Christianity is not a works-based religion, and that's what distinguishes us so much from other faiths. It's something we just want to do!

It is God who speaks to the heart of each person, some people need to hear it from us humans because our faith is not strong enough. And many of us need to hear things many, many times before we act on it. Isn't that true of any child learning new things? It is most certainly no less true with the Heavenly Father.
So as long as each of us is doing what the Lord God asks of us we are doing right in God's eyes.

The way I see it, only christians believe that unbelievers go to "hell." Therefore, if you're not a christian, you have nothing to worry about.

At least the "missionary" types we have today are, generally speaking, merely irritating and obnoxious. The only reason everybody's "christian" today is because centuries ago christians acquired political power, and proceeded to ruthlessly slaughter everybody who refused to convert. That's the honest history of practically all "successful" religions.
