My next door neighbour has the same problem but she is ok on 4 & 5 no good on BBC1 or 2.

One possibility is that BBC and ITV are on different transmit powers for the local distribution site.

Remedies -
It may be worth try moving the antenna to see if it can improve on the signal.
If you are using a amplifier - locate the amplifier as closes as possible to the antenna.
Try and keep cable lengths as short as possible.

I've got rubbish BBC 1, great BBC 2, ITV and channel four but cant get BBC 3 or 4. Drives me mental.
I'm going to get my aerial changed as its really old. I tried a signal booster and it didnt work.

I had to get a new aerial to get good reception on all Freeview channels - try fitting a new one designed for digital reception.

You need a digital signal booster. Have a look in argos. Not too expensive.

itv channels weak, is a sign of a new arial needed.... £40 approx...

Your are picking up a week signal, you need to move your areial to the outside,
