They are very easy to maintain, they're long lasting and they do need regular dusting. But it doesn't take much doing - especially if you get one of those Pledge Dustmasters or similar.

They are very easy to maintain. You turn the slats horizontal and there are special dusting instruments you can use to dust like four or five at a time. They do last longer than the cheap aluminum blinds because they are stronger and they block the sun better. I used to work at Home Depot and sold them. To maintain them I suggest at least once every other month to clean them with a solution of hot water and vinegar. Just use the solution and a damp cloth. Do not use a wet cloth.

As housewife of 30yrs venetian blinds are the pits! Will always attract dust and grease - dust can be vacuumed off but will need good wash down to get rid of grease. Bin them and buy something that's easy maintenance. More things in life to worry about than venetian blinds!

They need regular dusting, but I have got a dyson and it comes with this nozzle thingy that is designed for venetian blinds. It is wicked and takes seconds.

They definitely are easier to look after than the original kind as they don't bend out of shape when you wipe them. They do need reguar dusting though...by regular I 'm talking once a week with a feather duster. So all in all you get your monies worth and they look preety cool too !!
Good Luck !!!

They probably last as long as you want them too. And like everything else in your house, they need regular dusting.

These blinds can be regularly cleaned with a soft clean cloth, a feather duster or a vacuum cleaner with brush attachment.
Very dirty slats can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents
