Honestly, no matter how smart you are, if you trust him and are a normal non psycho jealous girlfriend, a real prick will take advantage of you and cheat on you before you can supercalafragalisticexplialadocious. Watch out for ex gf's that he talks to all the time, which you may know love him still, and whom he defends. Also long trips... maybe back home, he might hook up with an ex. As far as new girls go. Watch out if he goes alot to bars with his friends instead of spend time with you, he's cheating. if he doesnt want you to see his phone, texts, emails, etc.
Dont' go by the "oh he's not sleeping with me" sign. Men will poke their sticks in any anthole and still not have a problem poking it in yours the next day or same night even. So he still may be cheating on you if he's sleeping with you and the sex life might still be really good.
But for the most part, check for lying, change in behavior, trying to get away from you, comign home late, change in routine (all of a sudden he's going to the gym...etc)

When you catch them lying about where they have been. When normally they what sex all the time with you and then all the sudden it does matter to them if you give it to them or not. When they stop taking you out. When the good bye kisses stops or if you've been away and they do not seem delighted to see you again. when there appearance is very important to them. When they shut you out of conversations. When they whisper on the phone. When they are extra nice to you, they are guilty of what they did. When the house phone rings and they hang up. When you find items that you don't know where they came from, especially with initials on them such as a comb, water bottle, etc. Check the cell phone numbers who are they calling. I think these are enough signs to look for. Ooh one more if you have a small or big feeling yes follow your instinct.

I think they just start acting different, he's your man so you should know if he is. When men are usually a little mean or just rude to you and all of a sudden they start acting really nice to or if he's usually really nice and he starts acting like a jerk then thats a sign, or also if you guys don't have sex as often as before that's another sign.

Not spending very much time with you, phone calls from unknown numbers, catching him in a lie, etc. I hope that you are not being cheated on. It hurts like hell. Good Luck!

if you are questiong if he is cheating then he might be.
Why would you be with someone who you don't trust.
If he changes his stories or can't keep track of what he says to who then he is lying.
If he makes plans and changes them the last minute he might be cheating
If he avoids certian situations he might be cheating.
If he is always trying to over explain things he might be cheating.
If you are really really young, he might not be ready to have a girlfriend.
If you trust him, then why worry?

yeah, i'm not a girl either, but when my ex-girlfriend was cheating on me these were some of the signs i noticed:
- she was less interested in our every day things than usual
- she kept talking about new people (one in particular who she had cheated with, but tried to include his name in conversation as if it was normal)
- tried to get out of meeting me and making plans to be together
- forgot our anniversary (yeah, most times it the boy who forgets)
- sent me a bloody terrible book about how romance was bad for my birthday
- stopped responding to me over the phone when i was trying to get her interested in sex
- had huge mood swings and was depressed quite a lot
these were some of the more obvious signs as i'm sure each individual displays their own. sorry to hear your man may be cheating, nothings worse as it shows how much of a coward they are how disrespectful they are of you and your relationship. the hardest thing is getting out and moving on, coz of so much time and energy invested, but if you know you can't take him back, then best to get out quickly i say.
best of luck with it all, my heart bleeds for you :-(

When you start to question things in your head that you never had to worry about before something is probably going on. Go with your gut.

sometimes guys become nicer than usual, sometimes they are sneaky, or sometimes they avoid issues all together.
