What types of activities can we plan for our 16 year old? We already have tickets to a couple of shows in the evening.

The Star Trek Experience is perfect for you and your 16 year old.
Circus Circus has some good attractions, as does Treasure Island.
Hoover Dam is a great place to visit and tour, and Red Rock Canyon (just west of town) is simply awesome. If you have time, travel northwest to Rhyolite, NV, one of the west's more interesting ghost towns. Also, Ceasar's Palace OMNIMAX Theater is incredible, and educational.

Take your teen to Circus Circus, MGM Grand and the New York New York. At Circus Circus he/she can watch the circus acts while you have fun. At the MGM Grand there are rides and all sorts of kool things for young people to do. The roller coaster at the New York New York is great. If you are driving there is even a great amusement park not far from there. There are alot of activities to enjoy there. But remember there are also bad people there. So don't let your teenager wander to far from you.

Celine Dion and a multitude of others will open his/her eyes to a new world.
try to see the old section of the city too. December is a busy month --in and around Christmas he/she will enjoy just being in the middle of nowhere and the ingenuity of one man "Hughes" made the desert blossom -- specially with dollars...enjoy.

I took an 17 year old in 1998 and she was bored out her skull because she was not allowed into so many places.

Go to the NASCAR Cafe. There are racing simulators in the back of the cafe, and you can race other patrons. My boys LOVED it. There's an amusement park in CircusCircus that they liked, too.

leave the 16 year old home, she/he will have more fun having a party at your house while you are gone. in the mean time take me with you. PLEASE
