Hi, At school today, We had to run the mile in gym. I got around 7mins and 20 seconds. Is that a good time? Im 16yo and a junior in highschool (and a boy if that helps). im about 5'11 and way about 163lbs

id say its pretty good. thats around the time some guys in my pe class had last year. some of them ran track, cross country, and other sports.

Depends on why you're asking. It's an ok time for someone who's in decent shape. I think the range for a healthy male is around 6-8 minutes. Of course, that means you're closer to the slower side.

this depends on what you are trying to do as younger man your age I ran 4:19 But I had trained for 3 years at the time In the service 6min is considered a good time and for just coming off the floor yours is OK
