Well that's not SO bad... a clean, spotless house does sound good. All they ask is that I let them hang out, feed them and provide a place to sleep? I'd let them sleep outside or something and as far as food is concerned, Mexican food rules so they can cook all they want! I just might consider that scenario, haha.
No, but seriously, I know what you're trying to say... I just got caught up with the delicious cooking and spotless clean house idea :P
However, here's one for you too!
If a group of ten people came into YOUR house without your permission, while you were out, and took the place over, made it theirs, and when you got back they made you sign the deed to your home over to them at gunpoint for WAY less than it's worth, say they gave you 10 bucks or so. Is that scenario much better?
I'm not for ILLEGAL immigration, but I do think people are being unfair and pretty much blaming everything wrong with this country. (ie: crime, drugs, etc...) on illegal immigrants. I know plenty of American citizens that are doing all of those things, and then some! There should be an immigration plan, I mean one that actually works (Ha! writing that gave me a chuckle), where people can actually apply for legal entry and not have to wait 10-15 years to get a reply if they'll be allowed in or not. Bush and Fox should really sit down and work together to find a middlepoint or something. Whatever the case, I don't feel that a wall is the best answer to this problem.

This isn't a good analogy.
The first problem is that if there are 15m illegal immigrants in US, compared to 300m US citizens, then the percentage is 5%. Only way your analogy works is if you said that you have a household of 20 people and one person comes to your house without your permission.
The second problem is that this one person isn't working at your house without permission. The reality is that one of your household members hired him without you knowing about it. After working hard labor and for long hours, he asks for benefits because your family member hired him for less than minimum wage, which, we all know, can't support a family back home, let alone himself.
I'm against providing benefits to illegal immigrants, but if you want to make a point, it has to be logical.
Of course, it is also very apparent that they do serve a role in our society. There should be easier ways to obtain a work visa so that they can work jobs that no one in America wants. If they pay taxes like everyone else, then they deserve the benefits of our social programs.

Hey you can all move into my house, I'll pay you for cleaning it also. You can drink all the beer in the refrigirator and use my two cars also. Hey! if you need some money here are my bank books. I'll be back next month, don't forget to water the plants. See you.....KECK You are the same people that complain about high prices, the immigrant whose kids get straight A's at school, the immigrant that came over and started a business and now he is rich and you are not, the immigrant that can read and write better than you, and so on. Why don't you just get your life together and become prosperous and leave those who are leaving you behind, because of your own laziness, alone......

If these "illegal immigrants" are taking your job from you, because they do the same job you do (if they can perform the same quality) for less. then, I agree with you, this is called "Domestic Outsourcing). It is very bad for our own economy. Especially you pay taxes and liability insurance, and they don't.
On the other hand, if they are doing the job none of us would do,
like picking vegetables and fruits, If the illegal immigrants are gone , the farmers will have to hire Americans and pay benefits, health insurance, retirement and pay higher hourly wages.
Then I think it would be very bad for all of us , especially if we had to buy strawberries at $100 per pound.
So to answer your question, we need laws to protect our workers
by not allowing them to take "skilled jobs" that we want to do, and let them work on jobs we want them to do.
What is wrong with your analogy, is that "what if the 10 people comes to you and make you an offer to work, you couldn't refuse ?"
This is not same as "coming into your house without your permission"is it? May be we need to overcome the "Temptation"!

What I don't understand is this....illegal immigrants that are here in the United States probably have it better than they ever had living in Mexico or where ever else they have come from. How dare they come to US demanding their rights and just completely trying to take over. They protest for better living, working conditions and anything else they can think of. Why don't they protest and raise hell in their own country about the same things they have to come here for. We here in the US better wake up. We couldn't go to Mexico and do the things they are doing here.

If a group of people entered my house while I was at work without my permission and cleaned and cooked, I would be so happy, such a nice gesture. That's a good idea, I need to get a maid.

It won't matter what point you're trying to make....they just don't care. Therefore, in my opinion, they don't deserve to be US citizens. To me, for them to be defending a bunch of illegal immigrants is a slap in the face to their fellow Americans and they should be ashamed. It boggles my mind how any American can support illegal immigration.
