If the doctor did not tell you there was something wrong with you would you take your prescription? If the Law does not convice you you are a sinner in need of a savior then you will not see your need for Jesus Christ.

I wrote this to clear up the confusion hopefully.

Yep!

And once that was accomplished, Jesus set it aside and gave us a new and better covenant, based on grace, and the church.

The doctor might, or might not, give me a prescription. It depends on the condition. He might very well say not to worry about it because it will heal itself, or go away, or that there's no medicine for it.
If you really need a "savior" in order to behave, then by all means get yourself a savior. I do what's right without that kind of medicine, thank you very much.

Your analogy is incorrect.

The biblical God is more correctly compared to an abusive spouse who threatens to torture or kill his spouse if she tries to leave him.

There is no logical comparison whatsoever to the biblical God being a doctor or anything other than a psychopath.
