I'm not a grandparent, but I just have to say your question is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Cheer up, she'll be back soon.

I am not a grandparent yet but I feel touched by the way you miss your littel grandaughter and wanted to say..don't worry she will be back sooner than you know it with lots of things to tell you about. Why not try using the time getting things done that you might not have time for when you look after her? Or make some plans for some fun things that you and she can do when she returns? In the blink of an eye she will be back xx

My dad & stepmom get my baby 1 day a week. My stepmom says seeing him 1 day a week is not enough. She misses him SO much she has to come & visit him during the week. They will try anything to get to keep him. Like tomorrow I have a dr's appt. & she wants to rearrange their whole schedule so they can keep him.
I believe I can speak for my dad & stepmom when I say that other grandparents feel the way you do. And in your case, you get your grandaughter everyday & I know your home must seem so empty & quiet right now.
I hope she gets home soon for you!!

I understand how you feel, i looked after my grandson for 6 weeks he is back with his mum now, He is still with me most days but on the days he is not i run around like a headless chicken doing all the jobs that need to be done and more so when he is with me i can just enjoy being with him and not feel guilty about giving him all my attention, he is 9 months old, so do all you need to do paint weed wash curtains buy a new toilet seat, do a bulk shop of essentials get the Xmas shopping done and when she gets back even your conscience will be clear as well as those kitchen draws............ leaves more time to be a gran........

nicely I even have eczema. i do no longer comprehend a thank you to give up it thoroughly because of the fact I nonetheless have it yet i will help slightly. Mine was all weepy too. this is because of the fact it has an infection. do no longer unfold the cream throughout if its contaminated because of the fact in case you unfold it to a sparkling patch which will grow to be contaminated too. there is that this somewhat good ingredient referred to as 'epidermis Salvation' from PurePotions which you're able to purchase on line - all organic factors and while my eczema replaced into contaminated i desperate to offer it a try. I had the superb nights sleep I had in a protracted time that night. I stored using it and the an infection finally went however the eczema did no longer - it replaced into basically better. Now, at night to give up myself scratching I yet bandages over it and placed on gloves (better precautions) and yet on some moisturising emollient lotions made particularly for this way of stuff. this is plenty better now than it replaced into until now even nonetheless its no longer long gone. until now I used to stay wakeful all night scratching away. It itches like hell once you have an infection in it. without an infection its much less stressful to regulate your scratches. it will make it much less stressful to your granddaughter to sleep - i comprehend how she feels. So perhaps supply it a attempt to that i wish you success :)

I'm not a grand parent. But my parents only live around the corner from me and they miss my kids even if they haven't seen them for a day or two. When this happens they either ring up for me to sent them around or come round themselves. So you are not alone and I personal feel very sorry for the grandparents who say that they don't miss their grandchildren.

Mine did same last year. Wish them well, use time to prepare more ideas for when she comes back i.e. store up stories, sharpen the crayons, tidy the toy box and have a glass of wine and chill. You will have lots of things to tell the little one and lots of questions to ask her about her hols. You had a life before her, you have a life now. Make yourself interesting so she wants to find you interesting as she grows up. Know how you feel but remember she cute and funny at this age - she's gonna grow up into stroppy teenager etc etc - prepare! Enjoy her but enjoy yourself too.....

Yes, I most certainly do, grandchildren are a blessing for all the hard work you put in on your children. The second chance to heap loads of love and quality moments, a very special relationship between grand children and grand parents, I idolise my three Grand children and they know it. Cheer up its only for a week, one of mine lives the STATES, over the pond to me, and my only contact is once every other year! So count your blessings!
