While the "raids" may sell papers and make people think the ICE...etc are doing their job......I wonder if its not just another smoke screen to impress voters before the mid term elections...If they really want to impress me then start arresting the employers that hire the illegals. They know who they hire you cant kid me..In Arizona I can get 4 illegals for less money, than I pay one legal man to work for my company.I know they are illegal because they cant produce the proper papers.I also can check the authenticity of any paper or card they present me with.so the company's are lying when they say they didn't know the people were illegal. The employers must be stopped they must be arrested, fined and everything else the government can throw at them. And zero tolerance.
Stop the hiring of illegals and you stop the illegal.
The raids I think are smoke and mirrors,to placate the masses.

Stands to reason...but employer enforcement is a biggie in all of this. If you can't get hired, when you're done visiting, it's time to go home 'cause there's no point in staying.

I think a big thing we could be doing is a much more structured foreign aid program with Mexico. Help them to help themselves by teaching em how to build roads etc.

The strongest case you can make for ending illegal immigration is that if all their 'hard workers' moved to the US to find work,
who did that leave behind to build the economy at home? Hmm....

Sure! and they also should close all those places hiring illegals or fine them so heavy that they will never do it again. after that go to the unemployment department and send all those people back to work.

It does not help because the government does not follow up with what ICE does. The government claims that it is currently overloaded.

That would only seem like common sense. If you know a crime is being committed then you should be there to make arrests.
