They claim such irrational things that have no justification. They act as if they had an intelligent conversation with him yesterday.

If you believed in god, or if you do, do you claim you know so much about him/it aside from what is written in the bible?

God's existence has not been proven, so anyone, in my opinion, who claims that they have actually spoken to him is equal to someone who has mental complications.

And I mean spoken to him as in, actually having a 2 way conversation, not prayer, and no real spoken answering.

God is the ultimate imaginary friend.

Well, at least that's they way a lot of people treat 'him' (sic).

every person has a personal relationship with God. True story:

I had a horrible feeling that my ex was cheating on me- no lie I got down on my knees and prayed my butt off and asked God to show me and if he showed me I promised that I would listen. The next morning I got a call from my ex who was in the hospital. They were supposed to have been in a mutual friends house in Brooklyn the night B4- instead they had come down with food poisoning at the girls house that they were cheating at and needed me to come all the way out to Queens to get them. I listened to God- My best Friend and will forever talk to him as such. Better question- How is it that you dont?

In response to additional details- who are you to say who God has a conversation with?? who are you to call them crazy if they hear an actual voice?? You should show some respect - all I can say is God Bless you! and the funny thing is even with this question you have asked-he will. Something to think about

it is simple-right now mass delusion rules and schizophrenia has become the norm. truth and fact become confused with BELIEF
Humans need to belong to conform to be accepted and they also deep down in places where they don't like to talk about they like to be controlled and to have someone else think for them.. They seek order from chaos so they search for something that gives them that-ORGANIZED RELIGION instead of a PERSONAL SEARCH for God
Just My Opinion.
I am a deist=
Deists:

Do not accept the belief of most religions that God revealed himself to humanity through the writings of the Bible, the Qur'an or other religious texts.
Disagree with strong Atheists who assert that there is no evidence of the existence of God.

They regard their faith as a natural religion, as contrasted with one that is revealed by a God or which is artificially created by humans. They reason that since everything that exists has had a creator, then the universe itself must have been created by God.

Humans make mistakes and assumptions all the time. The world is flat-oops its round. Bleeding someone who is sick will put their "humors" back into balance-oops antibiotics work!
we at this time do not have the knowledge or understanding of who and what God truly is we only have mans writings that give opinions on what God is.
I believe it is arrogant and bigoted for a HUMAN to assume to know there is only 1 way to find God.
Religion divides and alienates and controls it inhibits spiritual growth and development by keeping us seperate and irrational about something that NO ONE TRULY KNOW FOR SURE.
for all we humans know God could simply be an absentee landlord. Just because one person found their path to God doesn't mean it is or should be the same for everyone else.

Developing a relationship with God is a big part of what Christianity is all about. No I do not pretend to directly talk to God through anything other than prayer, but that doesn't mean I don't strive to know His heart. God teaches us so many things in so many ways, the Bible is only one of them. Though, the Bible is the best measure we have of the nature of God. That's why He gave it to us.

first of all, would you mind being a little more
specific as to what you mean when you say that people act as though they had an inntelligent conversation with god
and second of all
those who really beleive love and trust in god really are friends with him
hes not like a puff of smoke like some people or religions might in some way portray
hes a very real loving approachable person
he wants all of his children to be his friend and trust that he will take care of our needs
and he gets to know us through the bible, or rather we get to know him that way
he already knows us
those who use the bible as a channel (for lack of a better word) to know god know that god will direct our hearts and our hands in the right places to learn know and draw close to him the way he wants us to...too anyone else who just reads it to "see" or any other reason
its just a book
nothing more
but to those who beleive know that it is much more
it is an inspired record of gods feelings and desires and the laws that he knows we need to live by to be peaceable
so i suppose to answer your question correctly the answer is no i do not claim to know anymore than what is in the bible
simply because there is nothing else to know
every aspect of of him is there for us
because he wants us to know him in in a very real and in depth way

That is your perception..you hear what you want to hear. May be you cannot understand the language the people you met.

People talk about God upon the authority of their religious book in which God, impliedly, Allows them to mention him whenever they want to spread His words.

Anyway, that was a good way of earning points

Because I have a personal relationship with Him and He does speak to me through the gift of the Holy Spirit which we receive after we have been saved. It's called a still, small voice. And, we can speak to Him through our prayers. One can never understand unless they've experienced it.

I can relate to how you feel. I think what it is though is
that their faith is strong. As strong as say, people believe
that they have been abducted by aliens.
