I met this guy on net 2 years ago when i was in a very bad situation. My live was complete up side down and he gave me strengh to move on day by day. For 1 year, he was calling me every day, 2 a day ,for more than 2 hours each, it was a long distance call. After dat 1º year we met face to face, and, no, folks he didn't lie about him. I mean he is d same guy from d fotos i saw, he is exactly what he always told me. Still calls me, saying " I LOVE YOU...", " I ADORE U....." and things like that. Now my problem is: i never believed in long distance love or net love and i'm scared. Is it for real?He just propose to me last monday, and yes i love him too, but...u know, marrige is a big thing and we met on internet!!!! And for one year he wasn't nothing more than a image in my mind, a voice. And its not like we see each other everyday, (only 6 times this year) we are still apart, living in different countrys. Is this for real? There is any chance for this to work out?

There is a huge chance that this could work. However there is also a huge chance that if you marry this man it could be the biggest mistake of your life. it is wonderful that he has been around for so long and even better that he has said the words and thinks that you are the one, but marraige is not even close to the next step. if you feel strongly about him take the time to actually be around each other. it is different than over the phone. Learn each others mannerisoms and see if you could live each day with this person for the rest of your life. All in all nothing works that fast and if it does you should be scared. Learn him, love him and learn to trust him before making a life long decision. A question like this would have already been answered in your heart and you would not need to nput it on yahoo answers. It is not real love for you yet, but it sounds damn sure like it could grow to be.

There is always a chance for it to work out. However you need to way your options. For instance, have you discussed where the two of you would live if you did get married, and who would be the one to make the move? I personally feel you should live with someone before you get married cause from my experience you can never tell what a person is like till you live under the same roof no matter how long you have know someone.

Girl, let me tell you. There is no set rule where you can find love. This is 2006, and believe it or not, you can meet good, decent, loving people on the internet. I met my bf on here in a chatroom nonetheless, and we have been together for 3 years. If you love him, and he feels the same, then go for it. You don't necessarily have to marry him, but he sounds like a really great guy. Don't be scared by what society says MIGHT be wrong. Don't let him pass you by. If you do, you may kick yourself later.

I think you guys should try a relationship in which you see each other at least every other day, before jumping into a marriage. You really don't know what a person is like even when you just date, you find out more about a person when you see them on a dailiy basis. Not that your feelings are not for real, but you need to know what a person is like first hand.

I think only you can tell if what you're feeling is really love. I don't think it matters if you two met on the internet.. if you love him then you love him, no matter what. There's a chance that it could work out between you two.. but I think you both will have to try REALLY hard and make it work.

I wonder how the millions and millions of people that have ever lived on this silly little planet of ours ever managed to pair off with each other before Yahoo Answers?
How did we know we loved someone without asking the world's advice?
When I met my wife - 45 years ago - I didn't have to ask anyone's advice.
I loved her - she loved me - we got married - and our 42nd is just coming up.
How did we manage do this without asking everyone "should we do it?"
Luck? or did we use our own judgment and not give a hoot what anyone else thought?

Hell yes it can totally work out. My aunt met her husband on the internet and they've been married forever now. One of my closest friends is dating someone across the country they are completely in love and devoted to eachother. If you love this man with your whole heart, and your stomach flip flops when you hear the phone ring then go for it. You shouldn't let distance stand in your way to your soul mate!!! CALL HIM AND GO FOR IT!!!!

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.
