Firstly, you need to intake more calories. Your crash diet is working, but you'll blow up like a balloon once you stop your diet. I know because I tried it.

Second, burning calories is more a function of time than distance. Keep a pace that significantly raises your heart rate, and do a minimum of 30 minutes, 3 times per week. You can certainly do more, but be sure to give yourself at least one day of rest each week.

It's not about steps, it's about time spent doing the cardiovascular training. At 13, you should be able to start adding some moderate weight training to your regime. See if one of your coaches at school will give you some guidance. Your body will burn more calories (even at rest) the more muscle you have. Also, 1,000 calories is not enough. Maybe ask your coach about that, too. And, I don't think you want to lose anymore weight because you're still growing. Just work on muscle toning and you'll get a good masculine shape you will be very happy about showing to the girls! Hope that helps!

well it may not actually be healthy foor you to lose weight. Im about the same height and weight. In order to lose weight at a healthy rate you should be eating around 500 calories under what you need. To be healthy you really should be eating more especially at 13. 2.6 miles sounds like a good amount of walking though but it also depends on how fast your walking. You will want to power walk as it will burn as much as jogging. Way to go on being healthy keep it up.
