Did your nurse tell you to remove the steri strips, or did you just decide to take them off yourself. Your usually instructed to wait until they fall off on their own, and if they dont, you can remove them in a week to 10 days.
If you had left them where they were, you would not have sticky stuff. Silly girl. Hope your wound doesnt pop upen and your guts fall out.

Eucalyptus oil is a very good oil to get this off. I use it in the library to get sticky stuff of the books.

you can use alcohol but sometimes it doesnt get all the sticky residue off. if you have some gojo or paint thinner it will help. just be sure to wash it all off and be careful to not get it in your wound. i would use a q-tip to apply anything to that area.

rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish. However, these chemicals might hurt your wound. Make sure your wound is closed up, you don't want to add anymore pain or chance of infection to the area after all, getting rid of the sticky stuff is just cosmetic anyway.

Mary Kay eye make-up remover. It removes just about anything but it's gentle to use on your eyes too.
Good luck!!
