I have heard this often, that America is anti-Christian and Christians are constantly discriminated against. Any Christians care to share how exactly you have been discriminated by other Americans or American laws? What about atheists or other non-Christians? Ever face discrimination?

As an atheist, I face nearly constant "almost" discrimination, but I have yet to be openly discriminated against. It seems as though people tread lighter now with all the religious strife in the world.

I can't honestly think of any large scale ways Christians are discriminated against. Some confuse keeping gov. neutral with discrimination (like you can't have mass prayer in school...but neither can anyone else). In general, their ideas are the default in this country.

Islam is getting hit hard by people who generalize the activities of the few to the profile of the many.

Wicca is often seen as a fad or Satan worshiping.

Atheists are not really to be considered citizens (G.H.W. Bush) and are the least trusted group in the country (U. of Mich. research I think).

Jews just kinda keep a low profile and I haven't heard must about discrimination against them.

Otherwise, you don't hear much about specific religions. Islam probably gets it the worst right now.

My entire public education was a constant attack on my faith. In my English class, we read books glorifying every religion but Christianity. The only books we read that included Christianity, spent most of the central theme on how evil of a religion it was. It's no wonder Atheist are so rampant these days. They are brain washed from the "secular" schools to be that way. In History the only thing we learned about the crusades was that it was Christians beating up on Muslims. The education network in this country has such a pride based biased against Christianity that it's nauseating.

Best evidence of religious discrimination = the ACLU. Where ever any one exercise their right to freedom of religion, they come and destroy that freedom.

I don't know about currently. I think that though there may be some individual discrimination for the most part all is fair. However if you look into the history of The Mormon Church and the involvment of the USA, you will find some major discrimination. The US even declared war on the religion. It is an interesting study even if you just look at the historical information.

If you don't know any ways that christians are discriminated against, you must not be one.Read these answers and tell me that they aren't.A friend had to quit her job because she was hassled so bad.Another went years before anyone truly spoke to her.Muslim kill chriatians by the scores in Africa and elsewhere.I wanted to rent a building for a church and was refused. He didn't know how people would like it.I put my bid in on a house along with 2 others. The seller said to my face`I don't like christians'.Do you think that may have been the reason I didn't get it?Maybe not,but he made it clear that he didn't care for my faith.A man back some years ago prayed a lot.His landlady kicked him out because she didn't think it was normal to pray so much.PEOPLE--PRAY GOES OUT FOR A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE.If you really believe in the power of prayer, you'll pray. There is no other thing on earth that is as discriminated against as christians. These are not complaints, just facts.People get angry for no reason.People love to hear bad things about christians and help spread it.After all it's much more juicy to hear that a christian did something wrong than someone who does it every day.God knows, christians are far from perfect. But take time to listen to all the good we do.There are a lot of people who console theirselves by calling themselves christians, then go about to do all the things they want to do.They are not christians.Christians have been blamed for more things.Everybody is welcome to see my church records.I'm a christian and very proud of it.But this isn't the first time in history that every body tried to shoot us down. Please, truly read the word of God(bible) and see what it tells you.Don't judge us because of the stories you hear. Most of us are happy when we can say`praise God' without getting glared at from all around.

YES!!!!

It happens all the time thanks to the democrat, left wing, liberal, communists in this country. They run most of the media. They own the ACLU (they call it the American Civil Liberties Union), most everyone else calls it the Aging Communist Leftover Union. Take a look in the majority of the media. A Christian can do nothing good. Yet Muslim's can do no wrong. And it is starting to affect the Jewish population as well. If this does not stop we will be over run with a anti Christian and anti Jewish way of life. Wake up and smell the coffee people before it is to late

Are Christians EVER discriminated against? Yes, certainly. If we can prove only one case of discrimination, this statement is true.

As far as the contention that Christians are constantly discriminated against, or that America is an anti-Christian nation, it may be helpful to examine religious demographics. The following are a few salient facts:

78% of Americans identify themselves as Christians
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/us.html
92.4% of current US Representatives are Christians
http://www.adherents.com/adh_congress.html
88% of current US Senators are Christians
http://www.adherents.com/adh_congress.html
94% of current US state Governors are Christians
http://www.adherents.com/gov/adh_gov.html
78% of current US Supreme Court Justices are Christians
http://www.adherents.com/adh_sc.html
83.4% of all US Supreme Court Justices have been Christians
http://www.adherents.com/adh_sc.html
90.5% of all US Presidents have been Christians. America has not had a non-Christian President since William Taft (Unitarian) left office in 1913.

Considering these figures, I find it unfeasible that American society, as a whole, is prejudiced against Christianity. The concept that Christians are regularly persecuted for their beliefs seems similarly unlikely

I think Hollywood, and a lot of media sources are anti-Christian, but then, they just seem anti-any religion, or dogma that states there is a such thing as absolute truth, and not everything is relative.

But as a whole, from most real people in the country I think Christianity is very welcomed...sadly though, the only discrimation or hateful remarks I've ever heard about my religion has come from other Christians :(

Really? Last I heard, the president is a "born again" Christian, most of his cabinet is Christian, 7 of the 9 judges on the supreme court are Christians, the vast majority of congress is also Christian. And you it's about the same in most states.

So it begs the question, how and who can discriminate against the people who hold the reins of power?

I confident wish so. Their faith is a lack of life cult motive upon international conquest. lots of them pray for the top of the international, an act i can't describe in any opposite direction except for Evil. They relentlessly push their beliefs onto all of us with a quite some faith of their warfare to triumph over the planet earlier Islam does. Their reliance upon dogmatic doctrine dissuades any of them from exploring their own human spirit, telling them to really only obey and follow the crew, like a brainwashed cult. Their lord and savior became a celibate done guy. A Hanged God, a Lord of the Gallows. those are undesirable adequate, yet throw contained in the actual shown reality that he became celibate and also you've were given a being who's the very image of lack of life. The Christians were deceived into starting to be a member of this evil cult and good, loose questioning human beings prefer to do what we can to offer up them from tearing down the yank democracy and starting to be an oppressive theocracy in it really is position. i recognize that you're too on the purpose of be able to work out it, yet your faith is an evil lack of life cult motive upon international conquest by skill of any skill neccessary. Hoping for the Endtimes, cosntantly attempting to rework each man or woman you could, the nature of the gods you pray to, your attitudes about the different non secular course, why can't you be conscious it?
