I know that whenever someone posts the scripture, or whatever it's called, from the koran that supposedly proves these things, it usually has NOTHING to do with it. Someone once posted something from the koran that supposedly espoused the existence of atoms. It said something about how things are made of smaller pieces that can't be divided. First of all, yeah, things are made of smaller pieces. F'ing duh, it doesn't take a scientist to figure that one out. Atoms were theorized by the ancient greeks before the koran was ever written, and then of course, we've found out that you CAN divide atoms into smaller pieces. It's all crap.
I mean, look at this, from the site you liked to:
"Do you not see how He created seven heavens in layers, and placed the moon as a light in them and made the sun a blazing lamp? (Qur'an, 71:15-16)"
Ok, that says the moon is a light. The moon is not a light, the moon is a rock that happens to be lit up by the sun, just as everything is. Here's what the site says about that:
"We now know that the Moon does not emit its own light but reflects that reaching it from the Sun. We also know that the Sun and stars do emit their own light. These facts were revealed in the Qur'an"
WHAT?! Do muslims have magical eyewear that they wear when they read the koran that makes them see different words than other people?! It says exactly the OPPOSITE of that. This is what boggles my mind about religion in general. I really can't understand how people lie to themselves so effectively.

Did you know that in the 1960s, a tribe called the Dogons were discovered in remote parts of Africa? Their creation myth told them that they came from Sirius, the Dog Star. They told the researchers that Sirius was really actually a trinary star system. People laughed at them for such silly beliefs.
In 1994, it was discovereed that Sirius is indeed a trinary star system. How do you supposed they knew that??? Probably the same way your Quran "knows" scientific principles. Doesnt make it an absolute authority on it though.

Over the last decade growing numbers of Muslims have declared the Qur'an to be a book filled with alleged scientific miracles. Numerous web sites, books and videos have been produced that proclaim Islam to be truly a religion of divine origin, citing "scientifically accurate" statements in the Qur'an and Hadiths. Many of these productions introduce their claims with a statement like this:

No thank you,
Most were already theories at the time the book was written and not new at all,
Others are just wild tales that have been twisted to fit history or science as needed to provide truth.
Peace, and good Luck
