have a child who is social, gets along with everyone, talks to girls and has alot of g/f.Your son would ask alot from you cause he needs to keep up with the way he dresses, school etc. He is also the captan of the football team Your son would have sex early, and catch HIV and you would have to deal with that. He is on medicine cause of it. Currently he is 40 and doesn't have the slightest care in the world. Even though he has HIV, he still gets around. He does side jobs, and does not like to stay in 1 place all the time. He got into 4 divorces cause he does not like commentment. He lives in a rv.

Or would you rather have a son who is anti social and depressing? He has to see a psychologist every 2 weeks to discuass his depression. He doesn't ask for much, because he really doesn't care about things. He doesn't like school, and kids pick on him everyday. Currently he is a 40 year old vergin who is overweight and extremely depressed. He does have a job, He works for a call center

i think the 2nd one has more hope to change his life for the better... the 1st one already ruined it by being promiscous and contracting HIV.... that sucks. and he still doesn't undesrtand what it means to be committed to something..not even himself!

being popular in H.S. is unimportant in the long run... what is most important is what u make of yourself when u are on your own, without ur parents support (try watchign Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion) :D

Sorry, I can't relate to either one. The first child was raised by permissive parents and did not have any direction in life. He really does not have any social skills and has no respect for his self or others. He is a loser just like his parents.
The second child could be the product of his home environment. He may have suffered from constant verbal abuse and was not shown any love.

Wow! I dont want neither of them, but since i have to pick one I would pick the depressed kid. Currently he's 40 which is not old so theres still a chance for him to heal for the depression and get laid if nothing else. Good question.

God forbid this should happen to any of my kids. But I guess I would have to say the second one. He has a job. And is not going to die from being infected with HIV, also can't pass on the HIV to another person.

Son #2 -
There is hope for the depressed. He can exercise and loose weight and learn to feel good about himself. He can learn social skills and take up hobbies in addition to his job - and in the process meet someone who will love and accept him and give her the gift of his new self. He can learn to live his life to the fullest.

but I would still deeply love son #1 though it would be painful....but you asked me to choose.

Very interesting question. Hard decision but I think I would prefer the first because at least he is happy. Personally, that is the one thing I desire more than anything for my children....their own personal happiness.

the son who is anti-social, that doesn't mean he isn't loving. there is nothing wrong with seeing a Doctor, as long as you also try to help yourself too. the weight issue just means he needs a workout buddy to help.

Hell at least the second kid works.

Any child is a blessing despite his shortcomings.

A mother will always love you.

I would take either one because a mother loves her child no matter what problems they have.
