If there's a way to do it, it'll be found in the DVD Hacks section of videohelp.com. But typically, major Japanese brands like Toshiba, Sony, JVC and Panasonic can't be made region-free easily; most cases involve buying and programming EPROM chips, getting in the machine and doing some soldering.

With lesser brands from Korea, China, or the U.S., the chances of finding a hack that's as simple as pressing a few buttons on the remote are greater.
