Does anyone here like cats?

everybody that has a dog thinks cats are mean and disgusting but they are not they are nice and cuddley i don't like dogs as much as i like cats but i still like dogs

everybody who says they hate cats has never had one and people who say cats are mean have no clue what they are talking about

I like dogs but I love cats much more. I've got 3 cats myself, 2 of which I rescued when they were just about 1 week old. I had to feed them with an eyedropper, and make sure they were warm enough. Let me tell you that's not that easy to do. I did this with the intention of giving them away when they were old enough to eat on their own, but I just couldn't cause I was too attached to them I was in love. My cats are very smart, they can play fetch the ball (small ball of foil), I ask one of them for a kiss and he licks my cheek, one of them even mimics me believe it or not. I make a meow sound and she does the same, not once but many times in a row. I can't imagine my life without cats, they are my babies, my pride and joy and I love them very very much. Everything I needed to know about love I learned from my cats. Here is a little poem I wrote, it goes like this:
She doesn't ask for much
A quiet place in the sun
A piece of string or crumpled paper
Is her idea of fun.
She loves to find a warm lap
Or a little milk in a bowl.
I could always sense her presence
Her eyes stare into my soul.
Scratching in the litter box
Paw prints on the car
Sneak attacks around the corner
She knows she is the star.
Rubbing up against my legs
Her purring is so dear
My kitty's my best friend
I'll love her till the end.

I'm with you!!!! don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but if I had to choose I would pick cats over them anyday!!

I use to hate cats before I found stray kitten wondering around a local car wash one hot day in July!! she was only 5 weeks old and I just didn't have the heart to leave her out there to dehydrate in the 105 degree heat!!! whether I liked cats or not! she was very sick: earmites, worms, respiratory infection, etc. I planned to doctor her up and find her a good and loving home!! well, a couple of weeks past and I then couldn't bare the thought of letting her go!! I turned into a cat person when I found her! I didn't know what I was missing out on!! she's such a sweet and affectionate little girl now!!! she's 2 yrs. old now!!

I have 2 cats and a dog and I must say that my cats are WAY more tolerable than my dog is. the're cleaner, quieter, less annoying, sleep all day, don't need as many baths, occupy themselves etc.

all my beagle seems to do all the time is bark at things nobody can see!! he really irritates me sometimes. he sheds more than my cats do also (go figure)!!

for my cats, they're so lovable, quiet, soft, and beautiful!!!! they don't disturb stuff like my dog does!!!

I luvvvvvv my dog to bits but he's just a nuisance sometimes. always in my face and always needs something!!

dogs are way to needy for me!! I'd rather have a pet who knows how to occupy themselves (w/o being destructive) when I'm not there all day!

dogs are cool but I absolutly adore cats!!!!!!!

I'm on your side also with your additional info!!!! agree 100%!!!! if you read my paragraph up top then you'll know that I use to be one of those people!!!

I like cats they are a lot less trouble than dogs and they make a lot less noise. I wouldn't mind having a dog but I hate dogs that just bark and growl at anyone that walks by their house or apartment. So the type of dog I would like would be a very big, gentle, easy going, lazy dog but as I live in the city I will stay with feline.

I love my cats!!!!

I actually grew up with dogs all my life, but in rescuing a female cat who birthed only one kitten, we could not bear to split them up, and therefore why I now have 2!

They are wonderful pets, and are very loyal to a good owner.

A classic line can be found in the movie Meet the Parents where Robert Dinero explains to Ben Stiller that cats do not sell out like dogs do, as an owner has to earn their trust!

Too funny, and there is certainly a thought to be found in that statement.

I love cats and dogs! I have one dog and now resintaly 4 cats. {ones a stray} All my cats are sweet and nice and love being held and played with. Some cats are mean but I still love them anyway I like cats more then dogs but still like dogs.

i love cats. i have four and i think a cat is way better than a dog. despite what people think, cats are intelligent and can learn trick if you are patient (my cats actually shake hands, stay and scratch the post for a treat). they are very affectionate, love to be pet and hold in my arms. they also sleep with me at night and they seem to enjoy very much to sleep on top of the computer screen.

my mom has a dog, i like it but i think its too dependable.

I loooove cats! I have four dogs and five cats and feed 2 colonies of strays which have been spayed/neutered. People who say they do not like cats have never had cats....they are very affectionate just like dogs....mine are super...they play and run around with the dogs -- -I love all animals.

I know what you mean...I am a complete cat person, but that doesn't mean that I don't like dogs.......but dog people are completely different, they think that dogs are the best and that cats are stupid and good for nothing, which is sooooooo not true....why can't dog people be more like cat people? It's not like it would kill them to be nice to cats.........I hate people like that!
