Three Mexican fishermen whose motor failed were recently rescued, they had been carried from the coast of San Blas in Nayarit all the way past the Marshall Islands, a disrtance of about 10,000 miles. They were lost for over 9 months and during that time they ate (among other things) seagulls, raw.
So, I guess the answer is: YES they are edible!
(One of the fishermen of the story has just gone back out fishing after resting for a month, so I guess they didn't taste all THAT bad.......)

This all depends on your morals. Can you eat a bird that you can hold a converstion with about the philosophy of Nietzsce, Plato and Dostoevsky? Personally, I would find the opportunity to test such a massive intellect unmissable. However, it is said that the Seagull is as tasty as it is knowledgeable.
So in answer, I suppose it is up to the individual!!!

Not unless you want all kinds of diseases they literally eat the crap that comes out of sewers into the sea and when they ain't doing that they eat the same diet as pigeons. So really strongly advise you stay away from eating seagulls for the time being!

Yep, anything is edible?!
But will it taste nice? The answer to your question is no, seagulls are disgusting scavangers and they feed on all sorts of cr*p.
I reckon you would be pretty ill if you ate one.

technically no but you have most probably eaten one and you never even knew it!
Seagulls are highly toxic to humans because they contain purple dye. the reason i say that you may have eaten one is because the pigs used for pastrami ham are fed exclusively on seagulls. the pigs liver removes all of the purple and only leaves trace amounts giving pastrami its unique colour.
If you have ever had pastrami you are eating a little bit of seagull.
