Car and road bombs hit year high in Iraq: US military Wed Oct 4,

BAGHDAD (AFP) - The past week has seen the highest number of car bombs and roadside bombs in Iraq than at any time this year, said a US military spokesman.

"Last week we also saw the highest number of vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices this year," said Major General William Caldwell, using the military terminology for car bombs.

"The number of improvised explosive devices was also at an all time high," he added, referring to home-made bombs used by Iraqi insurgents and militias to target road traffic.

A week earlier, Caldwell said the number of suicide attacks in Iraq was at its highest point since the 2003 invasion, citing the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan as a traditional peak for violence in Iraq.

"As expected, attacks have steadily increased in Baghdad during these past weeks," he said. The United States military is having a tough time. This war can not be won like we thought.

Who can guess in simple terms what the psychopathic, genuine existence "rooster Little" (the WMDs are falling!) is able to? For the safe practices of the inhabitants, both he and Cheney should be confined to a rubber room and the major thrown away! If rolling round on the floor giggling aws the insurgents way of exhibiting mortification, then i guess his speech worked! All you may do meanwhile is bypass on digging your bomb safeguard and keep your fingers crossed that the voters will awaken to themselves on the subsequent election and supplies you him the AR SE! Or a magnificent impeachment might want to be an option. good luck dealing with even with HE makes a call!

Because the Bush administration is retarded.... and won't admit a bad decision to save face. I dont care who dissagree's with me, I am right. There are thousands of dead people that would agree with me too. There were MUCH better ways to go about fighting this.... Afganistan is one thing.... Iraq was a horrible excuse.

Sounds about right.. Those insurgents want to kill themselves,, take Americans with 'em. To go see Alla or whomever. I believe they are feeling the pinch. But also their movement is getting stronger. This war is far from over. but were fighting it over there.. and that's what keeps those terrorists busy so as not to be over here doing stuff.

The amount of land the terrorists are working in is getting smaller and smaller. They only are fighting in like 4 cities now. It has now turned into a mob war as seen with Chicago and New York in the early 1900s.

The man is delusional, he is also scared stiff of losing his job. If he really believes that statement, then he should be sacked and if he doesn`t believe and yet still said it, then he is a liar, liars are dishonest and we do not want dishonest people running our country.

If I wanted to be kind, I'd say things are worse than they were last year. If I wanted to be honest, I'd say he's a lying chicken hawk.

It's NOT about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedoms". It's REALLY all about THIS!...
