Are you in Birmingham? You need to go to the Birmingham Hospitality Network, an organization specifically designed to cater to the needs of homeless families. Instead of separating parents from their children, the family is kept together, and is given the opportunity to find a new home, job, etc. etc. I have been involved in BHN through my church for several years, and they do a wonderful job helping families like yours get back on their feet.

Here's their number:

Go to a church, if they are unable to assist you they will surely assist you in getting in touch with the homeless shelter, or go to the local department of job and family services. or the local YWCA. Good luck and God bless
