First off, please stop using Dove. It's a moisturizing shampoo and not suitable for greasy hair. You need to use any shampoo that says on the bottle that it's a "clarifying" shampoo or that it's meant for oily hair.
Go ahead and wash your hair everyday if you feel it's getting greasy the next day after you wash it. Just make sure that the shampoo you are using is a mild shampoo which clarifying shampoos usually are.
You could try Suave Shampoo or Manipulator by Tigi if you get that brand. While shampooing, massage the shampoo onto your scalp. It's your scalp that is greasy and don't use too much shampoo. A coin sized amount is fine.
As for your tangly hair, stop using a conditioner for awhile so that it doesn't weigh down your hair. Make sure you're washing your conditioner out completely if you do keep using a conditioner. To help with the tangles, if you mean frizzy, use an anti frizz serum. Or use a tiny bit of a leave in conditioner for awhile and see if it makes a difference.
It could just be that Dove is not suiting your hair. Also if you sweat , play sports etc and your hair gets sweaty, shampoo is.
Another mild shampoo is Baby Shampoo.
Hope this helps :)

If your hair is oily, stop using Dove. In my experience, it is only for normal to dry hair. Don't use any shampoo w/ the word moisturizer on the label. Look for labels that say normal to oily hair or just oily hair. Some really good brands are Mattrix, Nexxus, Biolage, and Bio Silk. Some less expensive brands are Garnier, Herbal Essence, and believe it or not, I found that Suave, Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner is REALLY good. Because it's for kids, it won't dry your hair out, but it doesn't contain really thick conditioners that will add to the oiliness (sp?) of your hair. Just enough conditioner to calm your frizz & tangles. Plus there are two scents, cherry & watermelon. Both smell like really strong jolly rancher candies. So, your hair will smell really good as well.

If you have extremely greasy hair, maybe you are using to much conditioner. I use Suave Moisturizer shampoo and Conditioner, it works as well as Pantene and dangles your hair easily. If your hair is just plain out greasy because of your skin, wash it at lease once a day.
As for your hair being short, try different things like head bands and bobby pins, take a night a play with your hair and try off the wall styles, you may come up with something cool!
Good luck.

Use a not so mild shampoo that like pantene or a dandruff shampoo. Because people with dandruff usually have greasy hair. Go to Walgreen's or a special store where they can help you with your hair needs and they can direct you to the perfect shampoo for you hair. Don't use dove because it has loads of moisturizers and i don't think your hair needs much of it since its usually the oil in your hair that moisturize your hair.
Also try not using a conditioner.

you need a good shampoo. I have very oily hair also and biologe works for me. Don't condition your hair every day. Deep condition it once a week. I promise in a week or 2 you will notice a big difference in your hair, it won't be tangly anymore and it will shine. Can't wait for you to see the results!!!

Body gel soap. Yep, I know it sounds crazy - that's what I thought when I was told it works well. But it really does! It makes your hair incredibly clean, doesn't dry it out, and no, it will not damage your hair in any way. Instead of using conditoner, use vinegar instead - it basically does the same thing as conditoner, but it won't weigh down your hair or make it greasy. Good luck!

skip the conditioner and just use a shampoo. then use a light detangler and a little bit of baby powder at your roots if your hair starts getting greasy again. make sure to pat out the white color tho or you'll look like youve got pretty bad dandrif haha

Pravana Hydrating Intensive leave-in treatment works great for tangles. For the greasy part use a clarifying shampoo.

dove is not a very good product. im sorry. ive used it myself and it made my hair worse. sauve is even better. it all depends on your price range. pantene makes unbelievable products. used them for youars. you want something for extra body. avoid conditioner when you can ok. just on the ends if needed, but the extra body formulas take away the extra oil that weighs your hair down. any brand makes it. good luck. email if you need more, heather
