I have as a kid and after I have grown up, I see that this is evil and wrong.

Kids dressed up as devils, demons, monsters and witches and then going to the House of the Lord

Ever think that was wrong?

We never have Halloween parties at my church. Though we do sometimes have Hallelujah parties.

The meaning of Halloween today is much different that it once was. No longer is it about the devil, evil spirits etc. It's more about dressing up, passing out candy and having a fun time. All you have to do is walk down the isle at the supermarket to know that the past superstitions surrounding Halloween are long gone.

My church sponsers a "Trunk or Treat" every year. People come to the parking lot, dress up their kids and cars and the kids trick or treat from car to car. It's a safe and fun way for the kids to have a good time.

I suggest if you think it's evil and wrong take it up with your pastor or minsiter and don't let your kids participate.

We have a fall fest for the church and community. Yes kids dress up but we do it to keep the kids off the dangerous streets. We don't decorate for Halloween at church nor do we call it that. Kids dress up for fun, no it's not wrong

For years. The last church I attended even hired a seminary professor who was a professional story teller to come in and tell ghost stories to a congregation of 20,000. It's not about devil worship. It's about devil mocking a little, but mostly it's about rotting your teeth out with all that candy(and giving future transvestites the opportunity to try on their inner RuPaul in safety).

umm... kids also dress up as angels and princesses, as pumpkins and kitties, and tigers and lions, nothing is wrong with those. doesnt have to be evil in everything you do. halloween isnt what it used to mean, christmas was around before it became the celebration of christs birth it was a pagan holliday. i think kids should be allowed to be kids and not have grown ups spoiling their fun telling them there is no santa for those that believed, that there is no magic for those that believed, that wishing doesnt get you what you want. (i think those who take away the imagination of young children are those that were never children to begin with. and i feel sorry for you but wish you wouldnt push your lack of childhood on others)

I went to a friend's church for halloween one year, and they had a restriction on costumes. Nothing that was against their religion was allowed. I was boarderline as a gypsy (I kept the tarot cards I had hidden). It is wrong to wear that kind of stuff in a church (I wasn't too respectful either). When you go to a church, be respectful of that religion.

Yes I have. It's fun to dress up and be all spooky every now and then. Maybe you should get a costume and dress up this year. It's hard to be angry when you're dressed like a banana!
