I am a member of our local gym. Not a national name. It has great services great equipment, all kinds of classes, aerobic, spin class, yoga (to name a few) and a pool. The tennis club is extra $$. It also has locker rooms with showers, towels, blow dryers, etc. Trainers are available for a fee. Great staff.
I pay $82 per month for a couple membership.
It's a great deal because I use it almost everyday.

I belong to 24hr fitness but since I dont have a job currently I put my account on freeze for 6 months so right now I only pay 7 a month but normally it is 49.99. I used to love going to the gym but since they opened a much larger one they keep enrolling people and you have to actually stand in a line for like 30-60 min to use a treadmill, not worth my time. So i am taking my 6months to see if i really want to cancel my membership with them, because I dont feel I am getting my bang for my buck

Golds.
I don't recall what the membership fee was since I signed up for a year. I believe it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $25 per month.
It's a nice gym and conveniently located on my route home from work.

th gym for me is the streets. I run daily. 4 days a week are my endurance runs (10-13 miles depends on route and difficulty). 2 days a week I run with my 2lb weights/camelpak 7-8 miles (4 pounds added weight after a few miles gets very tiring especially uphill! 7th day I do strength training at home.
I dont have time to go to the gym! hehe.

I stopped going to the gym and have invested in my own home equipment. It's much easier to exercise now.
With all the membership fees you pay those folks, you can buy your own stuff.

my college campus just built a new gym that i now belong to. it's a great deal since i joined as an alumni compared to a pulic gym with all kinds of fees and contracts. plus i was able to join all their aerobics classes for an entire semester. even better is that i still get to enjoy where my tuition money went!
