I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't let any of the young children in my family around priests anymore.

It does suggest that a culture of forced celibacy is not healthy. It also speaks to unhealthy power balances throughout that culture, not just between priests and altar boys.
It's said that many abusers were abused when they were young. People who have endured abuse will sometimes take on qualities of their abusers in an attempt to feel like they have some control or power. Maybe the abusing priests were abused by priests themselves, or other authority figures.

Being celebate doesn't make one a pedofile. They were tempted by Satan and fell. Remember those who did this were still human. Not all priests are pedofiles. Many more then half of them are good men who would never hurt a child.

You are being too judgmental . There are more good priests in the
churches than bad. There is good and bad in every denomination and even in the pews. Don't give up on going to the church of
your choice. Parents must be vigilant, but that is not a reason to stay away from the house of 'GOD'

Celibacy and Pedophilia are NOT RELATED!!!!!!
I am Catholic, and I don't let my children alone with priests either.
I also don't allow them alone with their teachers, Baseball Coaches, or the neighbors.
As a parent you have to use common sense.
But a very SMALL number of Priests were Pedophiles.
