Smitty was right on this one Brent! Matthew Saad Muhammad was one of the toughest fighters I ever saw fight and had great recuperative powers. I watched him get battered all around the ring vs Marvin Johnson and Yaqui Lopez and come back from the brink of defeat. I don't really know if I ever saw a fighter that could do that like him. There were a lot of guys in boxing history that could suck it up when the going got tough like Jake LaMotta, Rocky Marciano, Joe Frazier, Carmen Basillio and many others but I agree with Smitty that Saad Muhammad was the best at it.

Sugar Ray Robinson the greatest of the greats. NAd whoever says Ali is the greatest is crazy. Ali is just poor-mans version of Sugar Ray Robinson. also A reporter asked Ali is really the greatest and he himself said Suager Ray, read up, I kick knowledge

Sugar Ray, the real greatest of all time. Robinson that is. His wars with LaMotta, Basilio, Fullmer, etc were instances where he came through when he needed to. Just look at his record, then look at the level of opposition.

The one who comes fastest to mind out of those who weren't mentioned yet is Archie Moore. He came back after getting knocked down like 5 times by Yvon Durelle. I saw highlights of that fight and he showed me something about himself in it.

The greatest of all time is Joe Louis but he always conquered his opponents so he never sucked it up. Evander Holyfield would get the crap nbeat out of him and then he would just come back and knock the dude out. So Evander Holyfield.
