Good question....I think both. I am an atheist, but when I get a good answer from a christian...I pick them. I also ask questions regarding many faiths...so I think you would have to look at both to get the big picture. However, I also think that this would fall into the category of "assuming"....so if you want to know....ask.

I believe that it is morelike overall actions than individual deeds.
I love to study my Bible, and oftentimes I ask questions I already know the answer but I want to have other people's input. Sometimes I ask people's thoughts on different things, but the answers really tell me more about their character than about their spirituality.
I really try to pick the best answer, but sometimes it is hard because there is no really good ones or there is so many good ones that it is not easy to pick only one. Sometimes I go to some people's best answers and give my thump up if I could not give them the bestanswer. Someties I give the best answer if they gave a good answer...even if it is not the right answer.
So I do not think that any one thing is so important as the whole picture. All of them tell their own story. God only knows our hearts. Many people have multiple accounts. And that makes me think that they are not comfortable under their own skin.
Some accounts stay alive here, some die due to repeated violations..what is the catch...it is not like we can buy food with these points. I try to share God's word, but that is the beauty of following Christ that He can fix things if I mess up. And He give me so much more than I deserve. If His will is that welearn to love one another..this is an ideal training field. I have never been so insulted in my life just for being a Christian as I am here...but that has just made my faith stronger.
It used to bother me when people terrorized my questions, but this new thump down is so cool...just click that...and swwooosh... evil is MINIMIZED.

You can tell a lot about a person by the "best answers" they pick. Foremost, how open-minded they are. I've seen questions full of great, well thought-out and well written answers, and the questioner will pick the answer that says simply "I agree with you 100%". What the hell is the point of asking if the only answer you want is the one you made up?

Maybe the answers. No maybe the questions. No wait ... there is no way for us to see what is in a person's heart. Only God knows.
As the past has shown us, sometimes the most seemingly "spiritual" people are the most corrupt spiritually.

oohh i would think a mix of all three show a persons inner self and how they think
one who asks in an offensive way ... one who answers with any rudeness .. one who picks only those he agrees with .. cant be very open and spiritual

Hi Will, The thought process behind the choosing....is the process biased by one's own beliefs or opinions, or by knowing that everyone has the right to their own way of thinking....guess we will never figure this one out.
