Hello... Old enough.
You said, and I quote, " You're 18, married, and living on your own. Welcome to the world. You made a promise to your grandfather. A promise is a promise and it doesn't matter if your grandfather is alive or gone to heaven. You made a promise, so please keep your word or doesn't your word mean anything?
So your best friend thinks that it's okay. I'm happy she / or he isn't my best friend.. You may not know this but your parents are your best friends, and your parents don't approve. Two parents and one grandfather out weigh one best friend. Listen to your parents and keep your promise to your grandfather for always. God gave you a beautiful body. Don't mess it up.
Please think about it, and make the correct choice. Be DIFFERENT and choose NOT to get a tattoo.
Love yourself and love God.
Sincerely J. (: (:

well i got a tattoo this summer and im 16. I needed my dad to approve tho, but you really have to think, is this something that im gonna want on my body for the rest of my life? Plus you have to think of how your skin will change over time. And you have to always put sunblock on it so it wont fade. And its really annoying for the first couple weeks after you get t cuz it scabbs up.

Then you made that promise too. You have to think about that, but your old enough to just get one with our your parents being there. Plus its your body.

You are over 18, so the the choice is yours. I have six tattoos and have never regretted any of them. My Mom does not care for them, but she realizes this is my body and I will do with it what I want. Just make sure that you find a good artist with a good reputation. Look at his or her work before you have anything done. Make sure you pick something you will want forever. Good luck!!

i would suggest not making promises you can't keep. yes you are old enough, but as a person you are only as good as your word. i wouldn't get one if i were you. in this day and age no one really cares about what a man's (or woman's) word means. but to some it carries a lot of weight. youre no better than your word. marinate on that for a while and make a decision

Your of LEGAL AGE to get a tattoo. My parents didn't understand when I got my first at 17, but they got over it. It's really a personal preference thing and if it's what U wanna do, U do it. Its not your responsibility to allow ur parents to run Ur life. Girl, your grown (with a family of your own), live ur life 4 u

honestly think about, my sister has a tattoo she loves but as for me they are too played out, literally everyone has one. And when you are are 80 are you still going to be happy with it, if yes, then if you are old enough go for it!

you're on your own and out of their house so you can make your own decision, but you have to live with the consequences of your choices. Whether you choose to honor your promise is another issue...

If I were you I would get it without telling them. probably in a place where they rarely see like your back. But if you ever are in a swim suit in front of them they will see it. Just think of where you want it. what they dont know wont hurt them, right?

If you're not 18, you're not old enough. If you're still living under your parents roof at ANY age, you're not old enough.
