I'm French and take a shower everyday, and so do most French people (although I read somewhere that 10% of the French population takes a shower about once a week; that's pretty gross).

However, someone said that it's not really good to clean everyday, and he is right (except maybe if you live on a very hot climate). Things we should wash everyday: face, teeth, armpits, intimate area, feet. The thing is, it's way faster to just take a shower!

My adventure is that virtually no person interior the international bathes as generally as do individuals. Nor do the human beings use as many deodorants, sprays, creams and different chemical factors to obliterate each and every hint of standard human aromas. we've been bombarded with billions of greenbacks nicely worth of classified ads to cajole us that something that even remotely smells like someone is unsightly and unclean. So whilst many individuals commute outdoors their very own borders they end that folk do not tub and are grimy even nonetheless they'd, in fact, be fairly sparkling.

I do for two reasons, my hair gets totally frizzy and a mess when I roll around every night and just combing it does not do the trick, so washing my hair everyday makes me presentble. The second reason is that it is very hot here year round and I sweat a little to alot depending on my activity level and I like to wash it all off so I don't smell or get an infection and the cool water feels great!

To wash away the sins of our American culture? To be good little American consumers? To be clean, and smell nice? To wash away the germs we have been exposed to during the rest of the day? I pick #4! I saw the TV program on germs, and what, germs, for example is on that bas-cart at the grocery. I am a nurse, and I know what I am exposed to every day at work. I bathe at least once daily! Usually twice!

So we can deplete the Earth's natural resources and then other countries have a reason to despise us?
Or maybe it's a conspiracy brought on by major corporations so that we will purchase more of their bathing products?
Just kidding- the answer is to get (and stay) clean

I wouldn't say it was a tradition its just how you were brought up. Back in the day Americans DIDN'T shower/bathe everyday. it was more like once a week. so as improvements in water supply came so did the want to be cleaner.

#1 = it's fun....no-one who has access to showers enjoys their own or anyone else's 'over-ripe' scent;
#2 = pomades are out of fashion;
#3 = we've been taught that bathing regularly is a large part of personal hygene, ennabling us to easily tell the difference between a civilized person and an idiot;
#4 = consistent, free access to clean water is one of the wealths of our culture, and we all like to participate.

Because we sweat everyday- are out in the environment everyday- lots of reasons. Plus I like to wash my hair or at least wet it to get it styled the way I like it.

Showers are refreshing and makes me feel good.
