Porridge is made of boiled grains and as such contains no fat unless you are adding a fat like butter to it for flavor. With that in mind, they should all work for you. Oatmeal is especially good for you since it is known to lower cholesterol levels.

All porridge(oatmeal) should be low fat if you are making it from the original bag and not the premixed stuff; it would be the milk that would add the fat so use low fat milk. It is just so good for you that a little fat couldn't be all that bad. Brain food I am told!!

Quaker Oats for fast pain relief .....It's not for breakfast anymore! Mix 2 cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain. or so the email I just received says!!??

When I think of porridge I think of oatmeal. Am I right? Anyway, if this is what you're referring to I don't think oatmeal is all that fattening. It's very nutritionally good for you and will help you in other ways also.

i guess if you add full fat milk and masses of sugar its a bit wrong but half fat milk and a touch of sugar is actually quite healthy i think...anyone disagree here?
