Job is generally considered the oldest book of the Bible. Jewish tradition says Moses wrote this book in the wilderness before writing the Torah. Traditionalists say portions of these books date to 1500 BC but editing is apparent much later. Unlike the New Testament, we have no scrolls from 1500-1000BC to settle the argument. Modern Jewish Scholars Like Professor Amy Levine believe most of the collection of the written stories (perhaps by Ezra and the scribes) actually didn't occur until the return from exile. That fits, whether you believe they wrote the stories down and walked out and claimed they'd found them hidden away, or actually found them hidden away, or some of both. It would seem important after the Babylonian captivity to collect and preserve, and even invent as much Hebrew history as possible to give the people their own identity separate from Babylon.
You will notice in Job that Satan is God's royal intelligence officer who only acts on orders, and he is not God's evil twin and opponent as the Babylonian religions have the forces of Good and Evil. So to me, this indicates that Job is untouched by Zoroastrian influence altogether, which in my mind, tradition or not, I would take as strong evidence that Job is entirely pre-exilic.
And I am impressed with the few who knew this, and amused by how many people think the Bible was assembled in chronological order.

genesis
________
Edit:
Genesis is the beginning of creation and chronologically the oldest book in the bible, Job is considered to perhaps be the oldest text in the old testament. It is speculated that Job may not of even been a "jew" by defenition in the old testament. However the way you phrase this question genesis remains chronologically the oldest book in the Bible. The bible is god breathed...how would he inspire one to record the actions and life of Job before creation?

Genesis might be it, but one of the first five written by Moses is definitely it.
